Overview
The School of Professional Studies' Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport is seeking a Director, Leadership Development. The Director will lead, grow, and scale strategic business development initiatives, notably executive education leadership training programs, and oversee all operations and administrative procedures, including management. They will collaborate with unit leadership and other academic and administrative units as needed. The individual will interact with clients, identify potential business and client opportunities, lead key constituent meetings, and ensure appropriate and responsible follow-up and accountability. They will take the lead on analyzing program trends, innovating the program's offerings and management, prioritizing yearly optimization projects, driving strategic initiatives, and developing standardized, efficient business processes. In conjunction with the associate dean, they will drive program development related to leadership training. They will provide effective supervision, guidance and management of staff members as the program continues to scale. The individual in this position will be responsible for building and managing multiple project budgets, identifying technical resources required to manage programming, overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing requests for proposals (RFPs), contracts, and vendor relationships. They will also help to develop and uphold organizational values and culture.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Masters or Doctoral degree preferred
Required Experience: 10+ years Experience in training and/or professional development, business development, and operations management roles; strong relationship management skills; strong project management skills essential, including managing large program budgets; experience leading teams and supervising multiple employees.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent computer skills (Google Drive, Box, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office inclusive of Word, Excel PowerPoint). Experience in non-profit/business management, leadership and/or organizational development, and conference planning and execution; Ability to execute work based on objectives; focused on achieving defined results and exceeding goals and objectives; Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment; enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change; Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and excellent follow through and ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively; Ability to think critically and identify potential issues before they arise; Ability to understand complex programs, processes and organizational structures and be able to function effectively within them. Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change

Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
