Location: Northbrook, IL (Remote) – This position can be based out of our Northbrook, IL office (hybrid) or anywhere within the U.S. (remote). Travel flexibility: 20 to 25% to KemperSports properties and industry engagements.
A Day in the Life As the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager (RSMM) you will lead the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing communications plans for KemperSports Venues facilities with the goal of growing property programming engagement and revenue. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting property-level teams with the implementation of various marketing strategies including direct sales, marketing communications, digital content, advertising, special event promotions, public relations, media relations, and community engagement programs.
Partnering with the Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Regional Operations Executive, and Regional Operations Manager to market property programs and drive financial success.
Developing and executing strategic sales and marketing communications plans to promote each property’s brand and achieve property marketing and sales revenue goals.
Building relationships with property-level teams to foster a mutual understanding of their key business needs.
Overseeing digital marketing channels to ensure optimal property-level execution including social media platforms, website content, SEO, digital advertising, email marketing campaigns, SMS campaigns, and marketing collateral.
Creating content marketing templates that can be leveraged across various channels and properties.
Measuring digital marketing performance and evaluating the effectiveness of strategies and tactics to make data-driven recommendations to drive future success.
Championing the importance of customer experience insights, ensuring feedback is gathered through customer surveys and recommending action plans as needed.
Conducting periodic market research to provide information essential for revising current programs to enhance a property’s competitiveness in its local marketplace.
Leading the consistent execution of KemperSports sales and marketing best practices across properties.
Collaborating with a diverse, multi-talented team to support the business development growth of KemperSports Venues.
Ideal Candidate We are looking for a driven marketing communications professional with demonstrated success in marketing, strategic planning, customer service, and digital content development and execution including social media, email, website, and other marketing platforms. Our ideal candidate is ready to make an immediate impact, has a passion for sports, and is excited to be a part of an organization that provides exceptional youth and recreation sports experiences.
3+ years of marketing communications experience.
Experience in the sports, recreation, or hospitality industry a plus, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field.
Creative thinker who enjoys developing marketing content and telling a compelling brand story.
Strong collaboration, relationship building, and communications skills.
Self-starter who thrives and adapts in a fast-paced growth environment.
Skilled in managing multiple campaigns and marketing channels, requiring great time management and prioritization capabilities.
Ability to analyze information, offer actionable solutions, and make effective decisions with a positive attitude and professional manner.
