The Associate Director of Athletics Communications will serve as the secondary contact for football, along with primary contact for baseball and other sports as assigned, while contributing to the overall storytelling and content strategies to promote a positive image for Utah Athletics under the direction of the Associate A.D. for Strategic Communications.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, sport management or a related field. Minimum of three years in a college athletics communications office.
Demonstrated experience in athletics communications
Experience working with media to position sport programs for positive media coverage
Extensive knowledge of and the ability to:
Create engaging social media content
Creatively produce and manage the design, layout, content and flow of multiple publications for multiple platforms (web, e-mail, podcasts, digital audio & video, digital photography, graphics, social media and print)
Work collaboratively with other external relations and digital/creative media staff (e.g. marketing, video, social media) on campaigns and projects
