The National Sales Manager is a mid-level manager of the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau. The role is to solicit new business and maintain existing accounts in the Education and National Washington, DC Association markets, while contributing to the organizational goal of promoting Greensboro as a tourism destination.
Duties include, but are not limited to prospecting/qualifying local, and national organizations for new business, communication with area hotels, universities and other related partners, assembling event bids, and making bid presentations where required.
Job-related Training And Experience
Excellent written communication/promotional writing/verbal communication skills
Minimum 3 years of sales experience with an emphasis on hospitality and sports marketing.
Demonstrated time management skills, outstanding organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong background in delivering outstanding customer service.
Ability and willingness to work hours that exceed a typical Monday through Friday 40-hour work week, as required.
Bachelor's degree is required, with preference for administration/management or hospitality management.
