As a member of the Travel Portland Convention Sales team, this position makes a vital contribution selling Portland as a desirable meeting destination in order to create a positive economic impact on the City of Portland, the Oregon Convention Center, and the Portland hospitality community. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and responsible for participating in achieving the organizational, department, team and individual goals determined by the Travel Portland Board in partnership with the hospitality community. Compensation includes both salary and meeting incentive potential for achieving individual, region and team goals. The application deadline is 4:00 pm, October 11th.
NOTE: The search panel will review all applications and applicants will be notified on October 14th if they have been selected for interviews on October 23rd and 24th in Washington, D.C.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree required and industry certification (CMP, CASE, etc) preferred, and
A minimum 5 years of sales success with hotel, convention bureau or other sales experience with an association, corporation or exhibit planning organization, or
An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties.
Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License
