Summary: Visit Tucson & Tucson Sports are seeking a high performing Sports Sales Manager to join our Tucson Sports operation. This individual will share be responsible for the solicitation, account maintenance and conversion of Sports related business for Metro Tucson. Establish and maintain productive relationships with primary & secondary sports venues within the region. Provide logistical support for Tucson Sports events as required/contracted.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage key Tucson Sports accounts such as but not limited to: El Tour de Tucson, Cactus Club VB & RSL/Ft Lowell Soccer Tournament • Identify and work to secure new events within the amateur sports competition industry as well as working with current and future “professional” sports events that occur annually (Korean Spring Training, MLS pre-season etc.). • Responsible for attendance and participation in sports related travel & tradeshows including registration, travel budget, booth expenses, partner participation, flights & hotel reservations. • Understanding of and responsibility for management of CRM Sports database, produce reports, as requested regarding sports metrics. • Serve as the main point of contact between clients & hotel partners/venue partners. • Effectively plan & schedule site visits for both local and out of town clients • Share responsibility with SSM for hosting clients events/Sports FAMs, including booking & negotiating prices with vendors and partners. • In collaboration with Tucson Sports Sales Manager & VP Sales, discuss and confirm contracts on behalf of Visit Tucson Sports regarding event sponsorship and/or financial commitments for Tucson Sports clients/partners. • Focus on “Field Sports” to support expansion of Kino South Complex, indoor or “Arena” sports to support Tucson Convention Center. • Manage Visit Tucson Sports social media platforms (Twitter & Instagram) and may be required to attend off hours events for assets to post. Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university; and minimum of one to two years related hospitality industry sales/sports industry sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications: • Must be able to travel and willing to work evenings, weekends or holidays. • Reliable transportation, a valid Arizona driver’s license, valid auto insurance, and a good driving record.
