SFM is currently recruiting and interviewing candidates for the position of a Project Manager- Sports and Entertainment Venues located at our corporate headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. The Project Manager- Sports and Entertainment Venues's core responsibilities are to manage the performance of specific accounts by maintaining great client relationships, leading venue development throughout the design-construction process, collaborating with design teams, and coordinating with contractors. Additional responsibilities include purchasing, procurement and vendor relationships, which requires collaborating with the client and design-construction professionals. This position will play a vital role in the direction and management of the design, construction and procurement process including overall field management.
The Project Manager- Sports and Entertainment Venues reports directly to the SFM Chief Operating Officer. The Project Manager- Sports and Entertainment Venues is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to accounts in the development stage. This includes design-construction coordination, purchasing, procurement and vendor relationships, which requires collaborating with the client, design team and internal team through the development process (from the completion of financing to final completion). Education & Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of bachelor's degree in business, construction, architecture, engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of 10+ years' experience in design, construction, or related field coordinating multiple discipline project design or construction teams
Previous experience in design & construction services for sports, hospitality, events, recreation, family entertainment, amusement and attractions industry
Advanced skills in budget development, timelines, critical path and project management.
Passionate about the SFM mission, alignment to SFM vision and able to articulate the value proposition of SFM to external clients.
Ability to maintain exceptional interpersonal relationship with clients, contractors, and team members.
Well organized and able to manage multiple projects on a routine basis
Experience in public speaking on behalf of the organization at any level
Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skill and leadership abilities
Ability to develop lasting professional relationships with clients
Appropriate business acumen while participating/interacting in office meetings
