Working with the marketing team and key stakeholders, the Social Media and Content Manager is responsible for creating compelling and engaging content for a varied digital audience. The Social Media and Content Manager keeps abreast of the organic social landscape, informing the team of social trends, and driving engagement from the Napa Valley audience. This key player will independently and strategically execute against the annual marketing plan to develop and manage all social networks, maximizing performance of channels and campaigns.
The position contributes to Visit Napa Valley’s (VNV) goals to drive brand preference, grow customer engagement and loyalty, and advance a culture of excellence, ultimately leading to additional visitors during need periods.

Develop ideas for new, fresh, compelling social content and action. Collaborate with partners and agencies as needed.
Coordinate with marketing team to ensure messaging across all channels are aligned and working with each other for maximum effect.
Create, manage and implement content for all VNV social media networks to support marketing strategy.
Implement an overall social media strategy and individual channel plans, to grow VNV social audiences, promote consumer and partner programs and increase their engagement work with Marketing team.
Expert on the social landscape and stay on top of social innovations and trends, leading VNV onto new platforms or in front of new audiences.
Manage vendors, performance and coordinate paid placements providing feedback to agencies.
Editor of VNV blog and implementation of content plan with Magazine project.
Proactive and reactive management of digital influencers and bloggers, working with partners on itineraries and requests.
Monitoring metrics and suggesting ideas for ongoing improvement, while implementing quality assurance process.
Bachelor's degree in related area
Minimum 5+ years social media marketing experience, preferred tourism, hospitality or luxury consumer environment
Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Proven ability to set and meet social growth benchmarks
Passion for creating innovative and engaging social experiences; ability to think creatively
A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and to switch gears as required
Must be an analytical thinker with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Must know Facebook and Instagram to be able to post content, manage ads and comprehend analytics
Ability to manage vendors/agencies and speak to technical requirements
Comfortable using Dropbox, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google products for work & project management
